Mishap

Some people will do anything to get in the news. All I did was drive into the ditch. Yes, that is my pickup truck...and I was the driver. It may look like a case of reckless drunken driving, but I was just turning around to park alongside the road Saturday when my right front tire dropped into the ditch. I think the state troopers were reluctant to believe me at first, but they didn't even give me a breathalyser test. Darn, I wanted to be in the Police Blotter (innocent, of course) in the Ocracoke Current.

Looks mighty suspicious to me. I say, "Put the cuffs on him."

I have to believe that the police blotter beat in Ocracoke is a pretty boring assginment!

  3. At least it was a ditch by the side of the road and not THE ditch used by sships and boats to enter and exit sSilver Lake.

Why is the ditch there? seems to me that if the ditch has been there how come sort of weed wacking to make the drop more obvious is in order is it not dangerous that no signs alerting the Tons of Visitors that visit the island. Sue the county. Are the ditches along all the roads-- is this a channel for flood waters when tropical depressions blow Perhaps the photo could be used in a front end alignment ad and you could work out a residual deal

Philip, Philip, Philip....my, my, my! What are we going to do with you?

I hate to say I'm smiling while I'm commenting on your mishap. Sorry! However, I am most thankful you, nor your faithful truck were not damaged in any way.

Are you sure this pic wasn't @ Howard's Pub????? :)

C'mon, Philip, you can 'fess up. NC Mainlander here won't say a word....you were really blogging while driving, right?

You are a brave one to share this photo w/ your bloggers.

If you ever need bail money, do rely on your bloggers to get you out of jail, my friend. It would be the very least we could do for you. It should be peace of mind to know your bloggers are here to cover your back! Just blog and we'll be there!
