A Little Bit Different

Emmet Temple has lived on Ocracoke all of his life. He is now a high school senior in Winston-Salem at the North Carolina School of the Arts studying acting. I recently learned that Emmet has a starring role in a short video on YouTube. I thought our readers would enjoy seeing this video featuring one of Ocracoke Island's promising young adults. Emmet plays Phil. You will see him first at 34 seconds, hugging the young lady.

Our latest Ocracoke Newsletter is the story of the unique "Ocracoke Greeting." You can read it here: http://www.villagecraftsmen.com/news022113.htm.

It is a lot different. Before the couples were dancing- you have to give the actors credit they no doubt practiced a great deal. and then perhaps the beat of music these days only allows for clapping in unison. None of these young adults appear to be a concern of the First lady as their weight and BMI seem normal, however, according to a recent study, the declining amount of house work ; cleaning, laundry, vacuuming dusting, furniture rearranging, window cleaning screen cleaning mopping, sweeping, darning, weeding sewing mending, meddling, snooping (made far easier with the internet) etc is contributing to the expanding girth of a segment of American society
