Another Outdoor Shower

Regular readers of this blog have heard about (and seen photos of) my outdoor shower. Many houses on the island have outdoor showers. I just happened to have my camera with me several days ago when I was visiting with neighbors, so I snapped two pictures of their "truly outdoor" shower.

This month's Ocracoke Newsletter is a photo gallery of past July 4th parade photos. You can read it here:

Do these outdoor showers require permits and an inspection from a building codes enforcement officer? Due to the inherent safety concerns and liability issues from a slip trip or fall would these be covered by homeowners insurance accident claims? D.D.:)

I really loved your parade entry this year!

Is this shower private enough for a sans clothing experience?

    DD is an idiot.

Anon 1:38 is in great shape but Remove Thy Self from The Euphemism Treadmill at once. Heal.

A shower where the sun shines above you and the wind blows around you - plus no walls to clean! How wonderful. (Looks like the "Debbie Downer" creature is off its meds again.....)

Rumor has it that Debbie Downer slipped while taking an outdoor shower and bumped her head. She hasn't been the same since. To make matters worse, the outdoor shower she used was actually the septic pumping station down by the campground. She may never smell the same.

    Way to go Pam!
