Bonner Bridge Closed

We just heard that the Herbert C. Bonner bridge over Oregon Inlet has been closed because of safety concerns. The NCDOT expects to begin ferry service between Stumpy Point, NC and Hatteras Island Wednesday morning. Click here for official news & more information: http://www.ncdot.gov/ferry/

Stupid tree-huggers. We can save the whales and the piping plovers but we still go out and kill millions of innocent children through abortions each year. This is exactly what the enviro-nazis wanted. Believe it or not I used to consider myself an environmentalist. Not now, these people are selfish, agenda minded, lawyer supported criminals. I hope Ocracoke and Hatteras businesses can survive this attack.

Ummm, dude. The bridge is falling apart. I don't think the piping plovers or whales have anything to do with that. It's an old bridge anchored to a stretch of sand that is constantly moving and changing. Either that or Mother Nature is cranky and doesn't appreciate so many people hatin' on her creatures.

Ummm, DUDE...11:06, do you know what you are talking about? Yes, I know the bridge is falling apart...its the exonazis that are blocking its replacement BECAUSE of the piping plovers. They are more concerned about protecting a few birds than the livelyhood of hundreds of island residents.
