The ...The Methodist church has an electronic organ. The A or G church also had an electronic organ. Don't know if they still do, or if they just have a piano. There is not a pipe organ on the island. Years ago many house had pump organs in the parlor. Very few are left...and I doubt if there is a working pump organ on the island. I discovered Ocracok...I agree with the last poster. I discovered Ocracoke sort of by accident several years ago. After many Caribbean island vacations, some at big resorts but most on small, remote places, my best friend and I decided to go somewhere closer...Well a 14 hour ride from NY isn't quicker, but it is SO worth it. Peace, quiet, great people, great seafood. Beautiful water, lots of beach lots of interesting history. We have never been dissapointed. If you are willing to take the ferry (and a cooler of ice) its worth it.
