So when he says to the bartender, "I think not" the humorous implication is that he would then cease to exist (he would vanish).Philiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01572532603071469799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-12891537794806410582010-05-26T17:55:53.077-04:002010-05-26T17:55:53.077-04:00This reminds me of another joke. That was an unusual situation because of the new inlet on Hatteras that prevented people from traveling north from Hatteras village (or south from the northern beaches to Hatteras village).

In general ferries resume operation as soon as facilities and vessels are inspected and repaired as needed, and as soon as the infrastructure & utilities on Ocracoke (roads, electric power, municipal water, etc.) are repaired and operating properly. Generally full time residents are allowed to return first in order to inspect and repair property. Off-island homeowners are normally allowed back at the same time or shortly after. Visitors are permitted on the island as soon as the island is able to provide necessary services.

I'm sorry, but I can't remember specific details about the return after Isabel.Philiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01572532603071469799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-26586243632923702192010-05-26T10:56:37.300-04:002010-05-26T10:56:37.300-04:00Wow that is wonderful the younger generation appr...Wow that is wonderful the younger generation appreciates a good joke.

A string walks into a bar and orders a drink.

the bartender replies Hey we don't serve our kind in this place beat it String.

The string leaves and twists about loosening up a few ends twisting into a knot.

Walks back into the the Bar.
