However, he had two sets of children. By his first wife Elizabeth (Yeomans??) he had William Jr., George, & Susannah. By his second wife Susanna (Smith ?? or maybe Sanderson??) he had three more children, Simon, Wallace, & Abigail. <BR/><BR/>All of the Howards on Ocracoke are descendants of either William Jr (my line & yours as well) or George. The Ocracoke Jacksons are descendants of Susannah (who married Francis Jackson). Simon and Wallace never married. Abigail married a Williams. Their daughter, Comfort, married George Dixon from Portsmouth Island. <BR/><BR/>I am still pondering what exactly William Howard purchased in 1759.
