I've never climbed ...What a sense of vertigo! <br /><br />I've never climbed the mast of a skipjack, but have spent a lot of time on deck when I crewed with Virginia W on the Chesapeake Bay. They use a huge amount of sail area.<br /><br />The folks that put the Wilma Lee project together are to be highly commended. Skipjacks are a beautifully designed work boat and there were hundreds that sailed the Pamlico Sound years ago. <br /><br />Today there are hardly any left.
