I miss it already.Martha Wileynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-85587582514310766492011-06-30T22:27:21.451-04:002011-06-30T22:27:21.451-04:00I always love stopping at the North End (ferry doc...I always love stopping at the North End (ferry docks) to clamber around the dunes to find tiny shells: whelks, spindle, etc. It's magical to find such small versions of "big fancy shells."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-40895924249318471532011-06-29T12:01:27.396-04:002011-06-29T12:01:27.396-04:00I feel the closest to God when I am sitting on the...I feel the closest to God when I am sitting on the sand at Ocracoke. All my worries and troubles are postponed for awhile. Just sitting looking out into the water and watching the waves. God is still working and he gives us little special times to be reminded of them.OBXdreaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05744100880991908145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-66287322004640725302011-06-29T10:52:11.382-04:002011-06-29T10:52:11.382-04:00I know a fascinating Buddhist monk who's convi...I know a fascinating Buddhist monk who's convinced me of the value of meditation. But his description of the benefits of meditation sounds a lot like Ocracoma. It's hard to get motivated to put in all the work when on Ocracoke you can get it, or something pretty close, for nothing!dan haybronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04296878899159453396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-89365302927159835902011-06-27T09:14:53.672-04:002011-06-27T09:14:53.672-04:00For sure, enjoying the simple pleasures in life wh...For sure, enjoying the simple pleasures in life wherever we are is good for the soul.

Carmela Kemp
Durham, NCMs. Kemphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00829877346612257171noreply@blogger.com
