I'm guessing he or she swam away. I'll let you all know if there's any more news about the bear.

About food -- Cat Ridge Deli has been closed for about two years now. There are a number of other eateries on the island, of course. The truth is I don't often eat out for lunch, so I'm not the best one to ask. My advice is to just check out the menus (we have most at the Village Craftsmen, and the Variety Store posts menus also). Ocracoke does not have one all-around local favorite hidden away down some back street. When we eat out we patronize the same places tourists do.Philiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01572532603071469799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-63709192294225704222007-06-14T12:30:00.000-04:002007-06-14T12:30:00.000-04:00We love Ocracoke! It's pretty reasonable and very delicious. But what I need to know is - where do the locals go for good, but cheapish food? Yes, we're tourists but with much less disposable income than we used to have when we vacationed there years ago and money was no object.
Thanks and I'll be happy to return the restaurant-recommendation favor if you ever make it up north to the Eastern Shore of MD!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09935261694266562676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6559692.post-49268170085695637312007-06-14T12:13:00.000-04:002007-06-14T12:13:00.000-04:00Thanksw for the updates. Any word?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
