Bridge Replacements

The North Carolina Department of Transportation has slated the seven half-century old bridges on Ocracoke Island for replacement in early 2008. The work will be completed within a 75 day period from the beginning of January next year to mid-March. Many issues are being worked out to ensure the least disruption to island life during that period. Please read our latest newsletter for more information. And check back here regularly.
