New Pitcher Pump Newsletter

Lou Ann has written a delightful description of my latest project -- the installation of an old fashioned pitcher pump in our back yard. We have published it as our latest Ocracoke Newsletter. You can read it by clicking on the photo below:

Terrific documentation by Lou Ann. We all know Philip and Lachlan, Dave and Dave, Bill and Lida, and other co-conspirators. Now may we please have a "pitcher" of smiling Lou Ann working that pump handle with her Indiana muscles?

  2. What a great story! And I just love Lou Ann's perspective. I do not believe that Don and I together have every finished a project in one day! Good job, Philip! Tell Bill that "Alabama" hopes his hand heals well.

My hand is healing nicely, thank you, and I hope to install my own well-pump soon. If there are more disasters, I only hope I can get Lou Ann to tell the story!

  4. So looking forward to the VC shop and life in Ocracoke. Just found the Journal and thanks so much for it! Visiting for a few days over July 4th, from Durham.

Terrific article--amusing AND informative (thanks for the addendum re. island hydrology). Especially appreciated the numerous photos and the opportunity to put some faces to all these names we hear of so often. Happy Fourth!
