I know I said I was taking a day off...but I just thought I'd alert folks traveling to or from Ocracoke that there have been a number of ferry schedule changes lately. If you are planning a trip out this way please check the official NCDOT web site for the latest information about ferries:

Nothing can match the joy of travelling on ferries. Ferry journeys are relaxing and enjoyable and many people look forward for it. Intimation of changes in schedules by publishing in a newspaper can make it more convenient for travellers who plan to travel by ferries.
