In March I posted a short video of my grandson Lachlan and his paper critter. (In case you missed that, you can see it here: http://villagecraftsmen.blogspot.com/2014/03/paper-critter.html.)
Lately, he has been creating small critters with low-fired clay. Just thought I would share a few of his many creations.

What fun! He has a great quirky style.
ReplyDeleteHah! VERY interesting and creative. I wonder that influences this sort of perspective. The only creatures I ever recall making with Play Doh when I was a kid were "snakes," fashioned from simple "ropes" of clay rolled between my hands. Lachlan's creatures are vividly colorful and distinct, like subjects I've seen in claymation films. I wonder whether animation may be a next step for him. These things seem to be practically begging to move. Kudos to your creative grandkid. And thanks for sharing, as always. :-)
ReplyDeletePH Perhaps L would enjoy the Marcel the Shell you -Tube videos rather entertaining. maybe L can appreciate the production value of such a thing.
ReplyDeleteI will alert Lachlan to these videos. Thanks.
