Well, we've done it again. We've published yet another monthly Newsletter from Ocracoke Island. This month I explain how to make a simple traditional wooden whistle from a Myrtle branch (or a Willow branch if you can't find Myrtle). So take a look at the directions, round up a child (if you don't have one of your own a grandchild or a neighbor will do) and teach him or her a fun, old-timey skill.
