Chesapeake Bay Photos

I thought some of our readers might enjoy seeing a photo of the crew of the Windfall II when we were docked in Portsmouth, Virginia after the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.

Below are (from left to right) Captain Rob Temple, Emmet Temple, Frank Phelps, Me (Philip), and Steve Musil:

And this is a photo of me when we arrived back in port in Ocracoke. I've grown a beard.

I'm still letting the beard grow...but can't decide if I'll keep it indefinitely or shave it off. Only time will tell.

Our latest Ocracoke Newsletter is an article, with a number of photos, documenting the history of water cisterns on Ocracoke Island. Click on the following link to go directly there: http://www.villagecraftsmen.com/news102110.htm.

    Philip,

    The beard suits you.

Knowing full well that you are the final arbiter, of course, I nonetheless cast my vote for you to keep the beard.

It adds character (of which you certainly are not lacking).

I have to agree. The beard does suit you, but I am curious to know what Lou Ann thinks of it.

  3. I have not seen the beard in person yet, however, I believe it will keep him warm when he shovels my winter snow up north!

  10. Thanks for all of the positive comments on the beard. I just uploaded a higher resolution photo...so you can see the beard better.
