Ocracoke Light

The light in the Ocracoke lighthouse will be extinguished beginning September 28, and will remain out for several months while repairs and renovations are made to the historic structure. You can read more about this project here:

    I read the St Simons light is out too. Sounds as if the entire Atlantic coast is dark is this coincidence or a deliberate move t protect a national historic landmark

  2. The Ocracoke light is out just so repairs can be made and much needed renovations completed. I don't know anything about any other lights.
