Dancing

I don't usually do this (and I don't plan on making a habit of this), but today I am providing a link to a site that has nothing to do with Ocracoke. Well, in a really round about way it might. Traditionally Ocracokers have loved to dance (especially the old time island square dance), and Ocracoke is a place to enjoy life. And, there's one more connection. I learned of the following link on a blog called "Joie de Vivre" which is written by a lover of Ocracoke.

This is just a feel-good short video. Enjoy!

And, next time you're out on the beach, maybe you'll want to do a little dance just to express your joy about life.

  1. Thanks for the link! I love reading your blog and getting a dose of Ocracoke when I can't be there. And it is most definitely a dance worthy place!

Here's a very funny follow-up to the Dancing videos. Apparently, many of the commenters on YouTube called "hoax" on Matt's video. So, as a joke, he did a hoax presentation to say "you caught me, it was a hoax!" His presentation was so out there that anyone actually seeing it got the joke. Those who only saw snippets did not! The "hoax" actually trickled all the way up to being a "real news story." This is a little long, but, entertaining!

Why would they call it a Hoax? All they have to do is read the credits. It is sponsored by a Gum company a chewing Gum company -- the guy is no doubt an advertising major as they sponsored his travel... I want want to know where he went to get his degree in advertising--- as he is one clever Alum --- traveling courtesy of some gum. He isn't a Dance major --fer sure.

  6. I don't know who Matt is -- other than what I discovered on the web. He has a web site where you can read more: http://www.wherethehellismatt.com/?fbid=J8uQj0LybpE

Even though it has nothing to do with Ocracoke Island could it be a slow "news" day on the coast caused you to deviate and post the link?. If this is the case in order to make up for the deviation I move that up post a picture of the daffodils you mentioned or some other event, a pancake breakfast from Shrove Tuesday , perhaps
