Recently I tried to describe a scene at the beach in which a large machine was clearing sand away from the boardwalk and observation deck at the life guard beach. But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
Don't tell the brave Park Service worker who was doing this, but I was back at the beach of few days later. There was a strong wind off the Ocean and the steps and boardwalk were beginning to get reburied! Life on Ocracoke.
Merry Easter!
