Ocracoke Shower Covered with Vines |
The OI post office story is very interesting. The role of drivers as contract workers continues to this day. The other noteworthy practice of repurposing buildings, moving buildings and rebuilding structures speaks to the recycle repurpose reuse mantra of the go green movement. OI was doing it. perhaps educating the current generation of visitors that it is a way of life. for some second nature not a bandwagon to jump on for fun. but any effort the Environment benefits if only those lessons of "going green " learned by OI visitors were brought back to their hometowns then the spirit of OI would continue .

ReplyDeleteThe question is: For the safety of your family and other visitors, do you have adequate hand railings, non-slip components on the floor, an emergency call phone, and a first aid kit? ...Just being funny, this was in honor of "Debbie Downer" from a few days ago...
