I have just published another monthly Ocracoke Newsletter. This latest edition tells about several itinerant salesmen, entertainers, and preachers that visited Ocracoke in the early 20th century. It includes the colorful story of Moses LeFaver Cummings (also known as "Blackie of the North Woods") who held an outdoor preaching service here in 1926 or 1927.
