Village Craftsmen

Now that Ocracoke is accessible to visitors Village Craftsmen will re-open on Friday, September 9, 10 am - 5 pm. As of this writing we plan to continue on this schedule, although that may change due to changing circumstances. Keep posted for the latest information.

Of course, our on-line store is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is the perfect time to make holiday purchases at http://www.villagecraftsmen.com/catalog.htm. We have a large selection of pottery, wooden kitchen items, stained glass, fused glass, wrought iron products, soaps, decorative items, and much more. Family and friends will be delighted with quality, handcrafted, American made gifts from Village Craftsmen on Ocracoke Island.

If you have any questions about our products please email us (info@villagecraftsmen.com), or call us (252-928-5541) during regular business hours.

Remember, for the month of September (maybe longer, but we haven't made that decision yet) we are offering free shipping on all orders over $25.00!

    Mr. Howard,

Just a note about your "marketing" on your blog/journal: I think you do a GREAT job of updating and educating us on the lifestyle and history of Ocracoke. Your writing is excellent. I am also impressed that you don't use the blog as a huge advertisement. Your occasional mention of sales or new items is pleasant and not pushy. I believe your readers appreciate the fact that you have a business and need to make sales, but you don't use your blog as a huge advertisement with a touch of journal writing. I for one appreciate that. Keep up the good work. I know we, along with most of your readers, will patronize your business whenever possible.

I truly consider you to be Ocracoke's good will ambassador to the world!
    God Bless!

  2. Hey, Philip, it's not everyday that someone calls you "Mr. Howard," huh?

    Bless your heart.

Fellow bloggers, this Person county NC mainlander would much rather shop "in person" @ VC, but since I can't be there most of the time, I have to brag on not only the selection VC has to offer, but Jude and staff all do a great job packing even fragile items. You don't have to pay by credit card. They take checks, too. Just wonderful, old-fashioned customer service. And, if they are out-of-stock, they will do whatever it takes to find that item and get it shipped.

Well, that's enough said, but you get the idea.

It warms my heart so much to know life is slowly returning to normal on Ocracoke Island again. I couldn't be happier for you, but I do so wish I was there to join in the fun!
