Jamie Tunnell just sent me an email about the NCDOT ferry schedules for 2011. It seems that the agency hasn't released any information alerting people to new times, but they have altered some schedules. If you are planning a trip to or from Ocracoke Island this year, please check out this on-line document, which is accurate as of 1/1/11:

I haven't looked carefully at the schedule, but I'm told that several times have been changed just slightly.
Our latest Ocracoke Newsletter is a history of the early twentieth century Doxsee Clam Factory in Ocracoke village. You can read it here: http://www.villagecraftsmen.com/news112110.htm.

Always good to know the ferry schedules!
ReplyDeleteEven though there is no trip to my dear Ocracoke Island planned on the horizon in 2011, one never knows! I said the same thing in 2010, and by George, I got there last October! And, it was one of the highlights in 2010 for me!
A mainlander can always dream, can't she?
You are looking forward to make this information available to all is a great job done. Thanks, for letting many people know ferry ( prom do) sailing timings and they will benefit many in reality.

ReplyDeleteYou shared nice info on ferry schedules. Really ferries are a great way of travel to hop from one spot to other spot. This helps many travellers who really needs it.
