NC Mainlander saw on WRAL-TV in Raleigh footage taken by their news helicopter. There have been at least what appears to be an apparent breach on highway #12 on Hatteras Island. You may have heard more info about it by now. Don't know how large, but it seems to be something which won't be a quick fix. I hope I'm wrong, though. DOT had not been able to evaluate the extent of the breach at the time of the 6 p.m. report on WRAL.
